What options can be specified that are not mentioned in the catalog or price list?
The following options are not mentioned in the RMK catalog nor price list, but can generally be specified:
- Squared top for a single hilt (can be specified for most, but not all, models)—non-chargeable.
- Radiused butt cap—non-chargeable, but specifying a butt cap may be chargeable.
- Thin butt cap (brass and Duralumin only)—non-chargeable, but specifying a butt cap may be chargeable.
- Different spacer colors (and materials) other than the standard red/white/blue (see FAQ I-4 for details).
- #6 grind, can be specified for the #4-6" (carbon or stainless steel) or #7 (4.5" or 5") —non-chargeable for the #7, but chargeable for the #4-6" (the 2011 price is $10).
- #14 grind, can be specified for the #12-9"—non-chargeable.
- Bowie Clip Point grind, can be specified for the #14 and #15 (including the CDT versions)—chargeable (the 2011 price is $20).
- Sawteeth/no-sawteeth grind, which is the grind when sawteeth are standard or specified, but without the actual sawteeth—chargeable.
- #14 finger grips—non-chargeable, but specifying "finger grips" is chargeable, if not standard.
- Teardrop handle shape (can be specified for knives with six-inch or shorter blades, and if a butt cap is specified, it can be only Duralumin or brass)—non-chargeable.
- #25 handle (mentioned in the catalog, but not in the price list; see FAQ I-7 for details).
- Custom handle material (see FAQ I-4 for details).
As an example, the photos below illustrate the difference between the standard #4-6" blade grind on the left, and a #4-6" with a #6 blade grind on the right (click on a thumbnail to view a larger version):
